That's really the key, isn't it?  Just stay on top of your cleaning and it doesn't take a lot of nasty chemicals to get it done.

I think that's right, Adrienne. Unfortunately, I have a tendency to let cleaning go. I mean, the main rooms we use are all downstairs (kitchen, family room, 1/2 bath) and get picked up daily. But, I have a tendency to let mopping & dusting go until it looks bad.  Embarrassed On top of that, the upstairs doesn't get used much at all...just sleeping at night & baths, so I just don't clean it as often as I should. I won't even mention how long it had been between cleanings. l Embarrassed

Ok, I went to Sam's (big discount warehouse place owned by the Walmart people, sad to say). Anyway, I bought a big think of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda (bicarb). For $4.88, I got a 12lb resealable bag. This should last me like a year or more. I also have a half gallon of vinegar that I've had for like a year already that I bought for like less than $2 (and is still 3/4 full) and a 15oz bottle of lemon juice I bought for about a buck. So, for less than $10, I've got at least a year's worth of cleaning products and they're all safe and natural. I've started implementing these products in my cleaning rotation already.

Also, since I last posted, I found this link that gives all the cleaning "recipes" I was asking for before:
http://www.ces.ncsu.edu/depts/fcs/housing/pubs/fcs3682r.html

I hope this helps someone else who is looking to start cleaning natural, but hadn't yet.
