ok, I'm not really complaining this time since she isn't biting exactly...but she likes to sit on the boob after nursing and chew like a pacifier. Is that a bad habit to let her do that? She has 3 teeth and wants to chew for some relief, should I try a pacifier? What are your thoughts?
i think its only a problem if it bothers you. shane uses a paci but smetimes he just would rather chew on, play with my nipple too. in that case he just spits out the paci and just helps himself.
I guess my issue is with her using me for teething comfort, I'm so tired lately! She'll wake up every hour in the night just for a "Chew" fix, no nursing!!? If I try to slip a paci in there, she screams and is totally insulted. I just wish she could take the paci to help with night time relief. When my other daughter was teething it never affected her sleep, but she was a paci-junkie. It was the WORST thing, when we made her give it up it was WW III. I can't do that again either!
Heather, I applaud you for your patience- have you gotten any good nights of sleep in the last 7 months?!? The only reason I'd try to stop that is that you don't want it to become a habit and have her bite down really hard and hurt you. You could try shortening the lenght of time she's chewing on you at night to "wean" her off of the bite- maybe it wouldn't be so hard on her then? Thank God Mohamed doesn't have any teeth yet...
LOL I was getting some great sleep until the teething started in full force about a month ago. The past 2 weeks have been BRUTAL, I'm so exhausted. I posted a few weeks ago about the biting, and that issue resolved itself for now but she only has her 2 bottom front and 1 fang (my vampire baby) but what happens when those front teeth pop- ugh! I did shorten it up last night, she was kind of ticked off but I don't know what else to do.
the morning after I posted that middle post- tues? She had a brand spanking new chopper up top in the front. She's still sleeping crummy, and I can see the other fang has moved down. She's going to look so silly with 2 fangs, 1 top, and 2 bottom.
