Progress report.
I'm calling yesterday a no miss day even though Asha wet one nappy because dh wouldn't take her to the toilet when i asked him to. grrrrrr. so i'm really pleased with how its going. i think i'm going on instinct mainly.
also wondering how often you take db to potty and they don't go?

ok that makes me feel better. we have about 5-10 times that she doesn't go. dh told me he doesn't like to take her because she wont go for him. she loves her dad, so she'd rather play.
we had another no miss day yesterday too. yay

lol yeh shane will NOT go for his daddy either... he wont even go if daddy is watching from the door or anything, i guess daddy's are just too much fun for potty time. yeh i feel bad i am getting off track and not doing it as well now, i am trying to get the puppy potty trained and i feel like i should be worried about shane going, not the dog, but i cant deal with pee and poo on the floor.

when i started with shaqne i went diaperless right from the beginning so thtat i would be able to observe his elimination habits more clearly. it was and is still tough so not everyone does it like that. you can CERTAINLy still do ec while baby is wearing a diaper part time or even full time it is up to you. i am not sure if you are doing cloth or not but really that would bethe first step b/c you can not only observe the baby's signals as they are going the baby also will FEEL wet and that helps them stay aware of their own body. in disposable diapers they still feel dry after going so they dont make the connection between the act of going and being wet. basically the first day i watched him, everytimes he would pee i would try to note if he showed any sort of signs or signals, also wrote down what time, in relation to eating, waking up. after a few days he had shown a clear cut pattern, would pee immediately after waking and would not pee while sleeping. would pee within ten minutes of nursing. also would pee about every 20 minutes throughout play time. here is a website that i found most useful, and if you have more q's visit the elimination board on this website too or you can ask us here!! http://www.ec-information.com/getting_started.htmlalso just wanted to throw in that foir a while it is mostly about timing, but after a while it is on instict, this will really help stregthen your bond b/c you are more deeply aware and connected with your child, that is what i love about it.

we were doing so well with ec but now i am really discoruaged and having trouble getting back on track im so sad as you know we got the darn dog a month agao, and i am happy to report that he is potty trained, but in doing so with him i completely stopped doing ec for 3 weeks with shane. i thought it wouldnt be like completely starting over i figured hed pick it up more quickly this time but it is so hard for me to start over again, he is showin no signs and peeing all over the house again do you think it is too late to get back on track?

it may not be the break Liz, it could be a strike or the age.
Asha has been having strikes lately.

hmm lots of refusals, but i have the most success if i make her laugh for a few seconds and then she forgets she was objecting. I notice i really am more proactive if she's wearing her nice nappies.
