Update on our Potty-Training Status
« on: September 26, 2006, 01:51:12 PM »

Jessie has been potty-trained during the day for two months now. She's doing great. We almost never have day accidents...maybe just a little pee in the underwear if she can't get to the potty quickly enough....but that's rare. Oh, and she LOVES going to potty at new places...just about every store, restaurant, etc we visit, she goes potty in, lol!!  Also, she's gone to public restrooms w/ MIL and DH and has had no problems.

And, 2 wks ago, she decided she wanted to try wearing underwear at night too. She's done great...she hasn't worn ANY pull-ups in 2 wks (she was just wearing them at night before this).  We've only had 2 nights w/ accidents...both since we've been back from our trip b/c she fell asleep on the couch b/c she was feeling sick and didn't wake up when I took her upstairs to bed...so she woke up a few hrs later w/ a wet spot in the bed. We just took it in stride, though. The other nights, she was able to hold it all night or wake up and tell me she needed to go potty. Even thru her sickness right now, we're not going back to pull-ups. She's just DONE!!! It's so nice. It took her a LONG time to get here, but now we're just done completely and w/ very little hassle.  Yeah!!!   Grin

Yeah, Jessie! Congratulations  pink flower

Just goes to show that children will get there on their own, despite what all the "mainstreamers" say !
