HI everyone,
My name is Sharon, but most people call me Shaz. I am single, with no children (other than my deaf cat) and 27. I am Aunt to a lovely little girl who is an AP baby. I joined the forum so I could learn a bit more about Attachment Parenting, as I try to be supportive of my sister and her hubbie. Through seeing the differences between AP and how other friends and family members parent their kids, I have come to understand the benefits of being an AP parent. I'm sure that if/when I have my own famliy I will be an AP mom.

Hi! I'm Amy, 23, a SAHM to Natalie, 9 1/2 mo. I found out about this site through the BBC AP board. We live in the Midwest, and I occasionally do web design when DD is napping.

OK, I'm A, mom to K who's, well, check the ticker for his age! I found out about this board through another board which was itself a spinoff of a BBC thread. I'm a soon-to-be-single mom, still working out how I'm going to support and raise my son at the same time, seeing as how my formal training and life experience have set me up for some very low-paying and time consuming occupations. We're vegan, and AP, I guess you could say. As for as NP, well, I care about the environment and I'm concerned about my son's health, obviously, but sometimes things like convenience, respect for the people I'm sharing a house with and economics get the better of me on that front. I look forward to learning some NP practices and getting inspiration from that part of this forum. We live in New Jersey. I'm 27. (I still feel 17, though, how is that?)

Hi. My name is Fiona and I've just joined this forum. I live near Sydney in Australia and have come here from a link in one of Meg's posts at another forum, and this looks really interesting. I have two kids, a 4 yr old girl and a 2 yr old boy, who is on my lap eating crackers and talking about the smileys as I type (he just got out of bed). I have a website with info and (now my boy is kissing me on the lips and grinning, but he should be asleep!) products for sale all aiming to help people reduce their ecological footprint and increase their health (very family and baby oriented!), so it'll be good to be amongst people interested in similar things to me here! I've been vegetarian for about 20 yrs, and taught veg cooking and nutrition for a couple of yrs, but I don't actually know any other vegetarians, so looking forward to that forum. I also grow organic veggies in my yard, have a few chooks (so I'm not vegan, but I do know my eggs are unfertilised and from happy chooks), and sometimes teach classes in personality type and other communication stuff. I also get a bit verbose at times - sorry!!!
Fiona

Looks like you'll fit in well here. we're a reasonably small bunch yet many of us are veg or are interested in it. We also have an organic veg garden. Also feel free to post a link to your site in your signature. The business boardis for those who have graduated to infant status, but don't worry, it doesn't take much to get there.
So yeah, welcome and i love to hear more about your site.

Hi everyone I'm Kate, WAHM to Jack (2.5) and Emma (9mo). I've really enjoyed looking around the boards here... of particular interest are the natural and attachment parenting sections. I am proud to be a tandem breastfeeding, co-sleeping, babywearing, cloth nappying Mum and am a member of two natural/attachment parenting organisations in Melbourne helping to provide support and information on these practices to the wider community. Look forward to reading you all!

Hi, I'm Jen (29). My sons are Calvin (3 3/4) and Nigel (16m), and my dh is Cory (33). I'm a teacher for The Bradley Method of natural childbirth, which is my main love, and I also teach 2 yr olds for 3 mornings out of the week at a local preschool to make ends meet (not that I don't like that job, it's great, but not my "career"). We live in Alabama, USA, but don't hold that against me. I found AP when Calvin was about 3-4 months old and I was tearing my hair out wondering how to make this baby be the way I wanted him to be; then I realized that *I* was the one who was better equipped to change according to *his* needs, and things have been relatively rosey ever since. Jen
