EC and Toilet training Welcome!!!

Hi all,
This board is for anyone and everyone who is interested in EC or toilet training. Ask questions, offer advice.

What is EC?
EC is Elimination Communication and means responding to your childs need to eliminate poos or wees(pees) and taking them to the potty. This can be from birth. It's where you listen/observe signs in your baby that indicate that they need to pee or poo. Babies are aware of their elimination and will often squirm/get upset right before they go. So when you think they are giving you a sign, you take them and hold them over the toilet/sink, whatever. Then you cue them with a "psssss" sound which they learn.

Toilet training on the other hand is the more traditional means of getting your child ready for the adult toilet that generally i guess starting from around 2 yrs of age.
