What to do on a rainy day?

We usually go outside and play at least an hour almost every day. It was raining this morning, so we didn't get to go outside. We do have some activities we do during the day, but I realized today if the weather's not so great outside, we have a tendency to rely too much on the tv. The kids watch movies and play w/ toys, while I sit at my laptop all day (thus why I'm posting so much today). Uggh...I'd like to get out of this rut during rainy days...any suggestions?

coloring, horseplay, dancing, dress-up, hide and seek, toy cars and trains, "cooking," music, stair sledding.

that said, we usually watch a lot of tv, too.

hide and seek is abig one of ours too.  We've had far too many wet days.  Mind you, Charlie will actually play in the rain if we let her.

I will also get Charlie to help me cook during the wet days.
