I just saw the first robin of the year right outside my window! He looks like he had a great time down South! I also have crocuses and irises peeking up in the flower beds! It's time to start watching for the asparagus! Do you have signs of spring yet? Or fall for you Aussies... Love, Annie

our crocuses have been in bloom for a couple of weeks already. It was 75 degrees for a little while, but now it's back down to 50s.

We HAD spring weather last week and the tulips getting up high, however, tonight we are expecting a winter storm w/ up to 7 inches of sleet and snow.

A little purple and white flower. It's a perenial and always comes up right at the beginning of spring.

Megs.. I forgot that I had this pic on my computer. These are crocuses: They are a Spring bulb....you plant them in the Fall and they bloom year after year in early spring!! Love, Annie

Saffron is the pestiles of a crocus, correct? There was a definite sign of spring in my neighborhood today: Me digging holes! My sis in law helped me plant 3 forsythia bushes along my property line today. Im SO excited because we got them planted before they bloomed....so there will be a nice show in the next week or two. As far as other signs here, the trees are getting a reddish fuzzy look to them, pre-leaves I guess. I have heard robins singing at dawn and dusk too, but they are not quite in full force yet. I LOVE SPRING!!! That is why I love winter so much. Spring wouldnt exist without it! Karen
