Hypnobirthing
« on: March 01, 2006, 05:35:40 PM »

Well I'm going to be doing hypnobirthing for my bubbas birth and i'm really excited.  one of my midwives at the hospital does classes and its not too expensive. but really who cares how expensive it is if it does away with atleast some pain.  the midwife is very positive about it reducing the length of labour and pain.

So bubba is moving a lot and the heart burn has crept in.  Feeling positive and all is good.  Here are some dodge pics, i couldn't stand the expression on my face but i wanted you all to see my tiny bump.  I'm 25 weeks.

Aw!  Wow, that is a tiny bump.
Hooray on the hypno-birth.  I remember you mentioned it a while ago and it's great you're going through with it.

cool!  Your little bump is so cute. Sometimes I miss being pg. But, then again, I never had a cute bump...it all spread sideways for me.  Sad

I read a little bit about hypnobirthing before Emily's birth and I think it helped some. I kind of made up my own method that was mostly Bradley, with some lamaze and hynobirthing mixed in (basically did a lot of deep, slow breathing and turning into myself w/ imagery and phrases I repeated to myself in my head). I skipped the rapid breathing patterns and outward focal point of lamaze.   However, I wished I had remembered the one you're supposed to do when you need to push and they won't let you (dr. was still getting gloves on when Emily was close to crowning). Anyway, this is off-topic...good luck w/ the hypnobirthing. I think it will work out well for you!! Smiley

ooh and my happy news is i've only gained 5kg.  i think thats 12 pound not sure.

Hope, I alsways here that the docs aren't ready and tell you to stop pushing.  how dumb, i mean you've been labouring for hours and then they're not ready. funny isn't it.
