AP Mama to 3 Kids
|
Question says it all.
We co-sleep at night w/ both kids (3yrs and 13mos), though our oldest does usually sleeps in her bed which is next to ours for about half the night. My 3yr old will nap next to me on the couch; my 13mos old still naps in my lap. So far, I haven't been successful in transitioning her to a crib or mat on the floor. Maybe soon I'll try again.

maddox always slept with us a little over half the time, usually he went to bed in his cot and when he woke would hop in bed with us...
since he was about 11 mths old he started having real trouble sleeping in with us, tossing and turning and pushing us ect... so we started puting him in his cot the whole night (which is side carred) and he is so much happier.
also since then at 8pm every night after bath and cuddles he will either walk into the room on his own or i will lay him down in his cot and he will roll over and put himself to sleep... we have never had a single cry... so i guess the go with the flow do what suits him option is really working for him.
i will note he still jumps in with us some times but usually that is about 7 am when he wakes up and then nearly always goes back to sleep till 8:30/

Kody naps by himself on our mat, and we cosleep still. I don't see that changing soon, he's a real cuddle bug, and though I stopped putting him on the potty during the night, he still wakes to pee and needs the boob to fall back asleep, so it's convenient for me.

Delaney naps on her Daddy, and we cosleep 100% of the time at night. Well, I nurse Del down, and then I get back up and do stuff, but we sleep in the same bed. Delaney puts herself down for a nap at the babysitters if she is tired though. She just climbs on the couch and goes to sleep. I was shocked the first time I heard about it!

Charlie naps in the cot in the spare room as we work in the bedroom during the day. At night she has her cot mattress side carred to our queen bed so that if she needs to she can just climb in with us if she needs to.
I stopped conapping months ago as i wasn't getting stuff done and i want c to be able to nap on her own for when the baby gets here.

We co-sleep 100% and are still co-napping 100% too. I *used* to be able to nurse Aidan to sleep, put him in our bed and get back up if I wanted but that ceased when I broke my foot. However, as I read in bed I can now remove my arm from under his head so that's progress! And twice I've gotten out of bed without him noticing...
I love our naps together! It's my favorite time of the day. He's a cuddle-bug, too!

Shannon,
Thanks for asking! I got out of the boot contraption about 5 weeks ago. Never having broken anything before I was expecting "good as new." As my Dr said, "Well, that was dumb..." LOL. Both my ankle and foot were very weak but have improved a lot. I still have to be careful with how and where I walk with both (ankle and foot) because they aren't 00% even YET! My Dr. said it takes about a year or so... I walk just fine, though...but with some care.
Oh, and now, just like an old lady, I know from the way my foot feels when the weather's going to change...LOL.
Love,
Annie
