I may be the only vegan mama here, but I'll pose the question anyway. What do you call milk? For us, you see, the word "milk" and the sign for it translate to "boobie." When I give him a taste of soymilk I call it "soymilk" and we sign "drink" or "cup." When a video shows moo juice, I call it soymilk. I can just see K on the first day of kidergarten looking all confused and saying, "My mom never made me give her a quarter!" I'm sure by that time he'll be weaned and I'll have explained the situation to him. It still funny to think about.
that is funny. well c doesn't have cows milk as a drink, just her formula which is an organic cows milk base. so wish she didn't have to have that but she still needs 3 bottles a day plus massive meals(no wonder she's still massive even though she gets heaps of exercise.) for brekky's she has rice milk and i think i call it rice milk but i'm not sure.
In our house, breastmilk is "boobie milk" or "booboo" (what Emily said when she first was learning to talk) and cow's milk is "milk"; if we drank soymilk instead of cow's milk, I'd still call it just "milk". The word "cup" is used for an drinking container or any container that looks like an open-top cup.
