I just found this writeup:

of a study in the UK. It sounds pretty legit and one of the conclusions is that sleeping in a separate room from your infant doubles the risk of SIDS.

I know many of us don't (or didn't) cosleep or roomshare, I hope no one thinks I'm being holier than thou. When I saw that article I was just stunned that I'd never heard of it before. It kind of disillusioned me (more) about our media and government, particularly in the areas of science.
