It seems our little group was slowly dying off for a long time...and then it just ceased to exist...
I hope you all are doing well.

AP Mama to 3 Kids

I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one checking in to see if anyone was posting. Things are going well here. All the kids are doing well. Jessica is in her last quarter of the school year and doing very well. Last night was an event at school and she surprised me by talking into a microphone in front of a roomful of parents. She's made amazing progress socially this year!!! Emily will be going to pre-K next year, though she could almost go to K next year instead. I've enjoyed having her at home this year while Jessie was a school. Zachary is doing great; he turns 2yr in a few weeks. He's an amazing climber and until recently didn't talk much...but now he's hit some type of language explosion where he's talking more...so that's nice. As far as me, I'm still struggling to lose weight. But, otherwise, I'm doing well.

So glad to hear Jessie is doing well at school, i know how much stress it was for you two.
Sounds like Zachary is like Asha with talking. She barely said anything at 2 and now carries conversations.

I haven't been here in a while. I will come back I'm thrilled for Jessica, ( ) and Zachary sounds like Kody, too, which isn't surprising since Asha and Kody seem pretty similar, too. I've been spending a lot of time planning the future, from the spring planting to where we're going to live next. Kody has (this is big, you guys) not nursed or even asked to nurse for FOUR DAYS. I'm both sad and happy. Surprised, too. We'll see if it sticks. I wonder if it has anything to do with my starting him on a good Omega-3 supplement.

"My beautiful, sweet angel" says her cheesy mama

hi i am around- i just dont get on here much. will come in more- these days i find it hard to do much more than a facebook status Same here. We got a new puppy, which is more work than we thought, lol, and there is always tons of family stuff going on. Hope, that is awesome about Jessie! You must be so proud of her! Finley is doing good. He is a much bigger talker than Delaney was, but isn't into signing as much. He is such a sweet, funny little guy too. Delaney is doing good. She is almost done with preschool and while I think she had fun we are really looking forward to starting homeschooling. We are happy that is is finally spring too. This winter was looooong! We are doing a lot more stuff outside and it is great! A, I remember when Delaney stopped nursing. It was liberating, but I felt like something was missing for a long time. People are starting to hint about me weaning Fin already and I can't even imagine doing it yet! Sars...How's the belly? When are you due?

Hope, I keep checking to see if you've joined Facebook yet! LOL Sorry I haven't been around much. You're right, it was kinda dead for a while, so I didn't check back after a couple of times. Glad everyone is doing well! Lucas is still in EI, but has recently added "boo boo" and "poo poo" to his otherwise 2-word vocab of mama and dada. His speech therapist is confident he'll start talking, but in the meantime, we just try to figure out how to best communicate with him. I'm insisting he sign please and thank you, as I think we should be working on manners whether he talks or not. Hehehe. I'm planning to take away his pacifier over memorial day weekend. He only uses it at sleeping times now, but he's having problems with his bite and I don't know if it's related, but his ped wants the paci gone. Ben is his usual hilarious self. He will be doing 4 day pre-k in the fall. He loves school (even though he says "it's sooooo boring!") and is looking forward to going more often. He's growing like a weed. It's supposed to be 90F here today and I need to get him some new summer clothes. I feel like a slacker listening to the rest of you, as Ben is still not in any formal activity. He has asked to play soccer, so we'll probably enroll him in that and we may do swimming lessons again this summer. As for me, I'm down 21.5 pounds since January. I've taken up running (well it's a walk to run program that I'm about 1/2 through) and am back on Weight Watchers. Matt and I are doing well. We're in the process of becoming foster parents. We've been unable to get pregnant again since we had the 2 m/c's last summer. Those two things are only sort of related. LOL Megs - how is going with Charlie home? I'm going to look into that yeast book. Kerry

Hi Kerry, Things are going well with Charlie though she is trying our patience right now. We spent half a week in Brisbane with the ILs and ever since she's been a bit of a brat. But she is fine at home now. Goodluck with the fostering. It would be so rewarding to help kids in need. And congrats on the weightloss
Adrienne, hows feeding going with Kody? We're still going with Asha. Asha is slowly weaning herself. we're down to about twice a week feeding now.

I can't believe Asha's already weaning! Kody went that four days, and now it's more like once every two days instead of once or twice a day. It's kind of weird, because he's so old and so cognizant of what he's asking for and why he wants it. He hasn't seemed to notice that he's nursing less frequently, and I've stopped bringing it up at all because when I did mention that, you know, some day, he will just not want it anymore, he insisted that he will nurse his whole life. He's stubborn and defiant enough, he might just nurse through high school just to prove the point, lol. I started setting my alarm for early and putting him to bed late to (a) avoid the morning session and (b) go "running" before he wakes up. Congratulations on reaching your goal weight Megs! That's great Kerry, Holy Crap! 21 lbs since January?! You're the incredible shrinking mama! I've decided that at this stage of my life, I have to give up dieting. I get so damn cranky even with a very slight caloric deficit, and then when I take a break or end the period of deficit, my weight shoots right back up and then some, even if I work out every. single. day. In fact, I loose more weight when I don't work out. So, I'm shooting for a healthy lifestyle with plenty of fresh air, play, water, exercise and good quality food. Kody thinks school is boring, too, but home's no better. Luckily this year he's old enough to play outside by himself, so that opens a lot of opportunities for him to enjoy himself at home. The little boys I know don't tend to like school, and a friend of mine (who homeschools) said something about how schools aim to "feminize" boys, and I can see his point. It's accounting day, can you tell, lol! I hate paperwork :-P

Well Asha went almost a whole week without mummy milk but got sick and wanted it to go to sleep. I think she'd fed more if she didn't have her sister around.
Charlie is driving me bonkers at the moment. No matter what strategies i try to employ she just keeps on doing inappropriate things. And she knows these things are wrong as she tries to cover it up or lie. She's a pretty good liar.
Forgot to say congrats Kerry on the weightloss. .all that running is paying off.
