I just got my October edition of Parents magazine today. On pg. 38, there's a little blurb about bamboo fabric. There's a pic of a baby in a onesie by sproutkidsclothing.com and then it has this caption:
"[Eco trend] Everyone's Talking About Bamboo"
Below it has this description: Giant pandas aren't the only ones eating up bamboo. The fastest-growing plant in the world (it can get three feet taller in one day) is also the most versatile--it's used to make everything from furniture to toys to adorable baby tees like the one above. Bamboo is strong, durable, affordable, naturally antimicrobial and hypoallergenic, and doesn't require pesticides to thrive, which makes this eco-textile a great choice for you and your green baby.
This totally reminded me of A and Megs. Are you guys still selling bamboo fabric? If so, I hope this helps business for you.
We sold the business over to the ILs but we're still part owners. It was all too much for T and I to handle and look after the kids. Adrienne is a legend i swear, how she does the business and looks after Kody. Our business is going well. A few magazines mention bamboo every so often and it helps. fashion designers are really interested in it.
Wow! sweet! it really is taking off. Thanks for the heads up. I haven't seen a bump in sales, in fact the economy being what it is, there's been quite a dip, but hopefully people just haven't had time to read through the magazine yet.
My biggest supplier just sent me (drumroll if you please...) the USDA and OCIA Organic certifications for the bamboo crop used in his fabric. That's huge for us because before now there was no such thing as organic bamboo. I haven't publicized it as much as I should be yet, I'm a little overwhelmed lately. (so no cheers for me, megs, I do a lot... badly)
