Hi all, My name is Megs. Well really its Megan, but anyway. I am your friendly Administrator. I would just like to Welcome everyone to the Vegan and Vegetarian Nutrition Board. Feel free to discuss all things veg here and post OT stuff on the general board.
For the moment this board is a public space and i hope you all enjoy it. I'd like to start by offering a description of what i think Vegan and Vegan and Vegetarian Nutrition is.
People are vegetarian for a number of reasons including ethical, environmental and health. Vegans do not eat any meat or other byproducts from animals. Many also do not use animal products like leather. There are many different types of vegetarians. Typically there are those who eat eggs and milk products. However there are also some who say they are vegetarian but eat fish and seafood products. For the purposes of this forum Vegan means no flesh or byproducts from any animal and Vegetarian means no flesh from any animal include fish and seafood. A balanced vegan/vegetarian diet is a very healthy diet.
So feel free to post questions or information here about this topic.
